NYFA Graduate Natalie Whittle films scenes for feature film The Under Shepherd
Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett, Jr. recently invited students and alumni from New York Film Academy at Universal Studios to join him on the set of upcoming feature film The Under Shepherd. NYFA MFA Acting for Film graduates Natalie Whittle and Charles Roetting, AFA Acting for Film graduate Randall Stanley, and current one year acting student Iesha Coston were given the opportunity act in a church scene involving the lead actors.

Directed by Russ Parr, The Under Shepherd stars Isaiah Washington as a charismatic pastor who gains notoriety as a powerful TV evangelist and succumbs to his new-found power, fame, and greed. The film also stars Robinne Lee and Clifton Powell. The Under Shepherd is scheduled for release in 2012. For a look at the teaser trailer, click here.

Louis Gossett, Jr. will join the acting department faculty at New York Film Academy at Universal Studios in September. He has previously led master classes for NYFA, and recently interviewed Emmy-nominated actor Billy Dee Williams for NYFA’s guest lecture series.
