NYFA Documentary Grad Wins Emmy Award

Congrats to New York Film Academy Documentary graduate Muhammed Hamdy for winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for The Square

Chick Flicks Film Festival

Women in Film Dallas’ 13th Annual Chick Flicks Film Festival is open for submissions until August 28. The Festival is hosted at the Angelika Film Center Dallas.

In honor of WIFD’s 30th Anniversary, WIFD is awarding cash prizes for the Best of Fest winner ($1,000) and Best Student ($300).

New York Film Academy graduate, James Ordonez has provided financing agreements and production services to films including The Mission (Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons), Proof of Life (Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan), and Vivaldi (Joseph Fiennes and Alfred Molina).
He has also produced and directed commercials for Budweiser and Sony, music videos for Shakira, and entertainment events for companies including Sports Illustrated.
